Nature in the Luxembourg Ardennes

The region of the Ardennes is characterised by a hilly landscape and large leafy forests.

Its main hilly areas are interspersed with picturesque valleys, the most stunning of which are those of the Blees, Clerve, Our, Sûre and Wiltz rivers.

VUM SÉI

For some years, the farmers and manufacturers of the Nature Park of the Upper Sûre have been encouraged to produce their products according to the most innovative and natural standards. With the objective to preserve the natural heritage of the region, the label "Vum Séi" (from the lake) has been created. The label represents the high quality of the "Vum Séi" products. The production processes have to be sustainable whilst protecting the natural resources of the region, especially the drinking water. All products are first characterized by their traceability standards, the regional character and the fact that no GMOs have been used. The products include: "Téi vum Séi" (tea from the lake), "Spelz vum Séi" (products made from spelt: noodles, flour...), "Véi vum Séi" (meat, especially beef) and "Bléi vum Séi" (cosmetic products and soaps). Many of these products are used by regional restaurants and hotels and can also be purchased in supermarkets.
