REGIONAL PRODUCTS FROM THE LUXEMBOURG ARDENNES

 

The gastronomy of the Luxembourg Ardennes offers a rich and varied selection of treats, such as hams, honey, mustard, juices, brandies, beers and a large number of products based on spelt, wheat and poppy. You will be convinced by the quality and originality of the Diekirch, Simon,Ourdaller and “Heischter Béier” beers. Natural cosmetics are also produced in the region.

Various labels have been created in order to guarantee the quality and origin of products;

 

 

Where can you find the regional products from the Luxembourg Ardennes? 

The products from the Luxembourg Ardennes can be found on many menus of the regional restaurants. If you prefer cooking for yourself, you can also buy fresh regional products at the weekly or monthly markets in Diekirch, Ettelbruck, Clervaux, Heinerscheid, Vianden and Wiltz. The regional products are also sold in some local stores such as the «Em de Séi a méi» shop in Esch-sur-Sûre, the «Buttik vum Séi» in Heiderscheid, the shop of the Nature Park Centre Upper Sûre, the BEO-farm shop in Kalborn, the shop of the Tourist Center Robbesscheier in Munshausen… and in some supermarkets as well.

The numerous traditional festival and events also offer an ideal opportunity to discover some regional specialities. For example at the nut market in October in Vianden a wide range of products made from nuts are sold; nut cake, nut bread, nut wine, nut liqueur and much more.
