WILTZ

Capital of the Ardennes: this was the title conferred to the town of Wiltz by Prince Henry of the Netherlands in 1866. Located in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, you will witness the most stunning aspect of Wiltz with its Easter Monday Broom Festival. In summer, the monumental Renaissance staircase of the castle, dating back to the 10th century, is used as a stage for the famous Festival.

The town also boasts a tradition of several centuries in the art of brewing beer: this can be seen at the Wiltz brewery and the Musée National d'Art Brassicole brewing museum. Wiltz is also an international gathering place for scouts: you can see the “One Penny Monument” erected in honour of Baden-Powell.

Several cycle and mountain biking paths and a dense network of roads and footpaths are perfect for walkers and cyclists.
