The Luxembourg Ardennes are a true paradise for anglers, as their lakes and watercourses are
full of trout, pike, pikeperch, eel, carp and a large variety of other types of fish. You must have
a fishing permit for waters, whether within the country or cross-border. Please contact the local
authorities to find out about the regulations in force:
the district commissariat of Diekirch, or the municipalities of Bavigne, Boulaide, Bourscheid,
Clervaux, Esch-sur-Sûre, Ettelbruck, Neunhausen or Rambrouch. (Information is also available in
some Tourist Offices (Diekirch, Wiltz, Vianden) and hotels in the region).
You can fish in ponds with no formality other than payment of a fee.
