The region of the Ardennes is characterised by a hilly landscape and large leafy forests.
Its main hilly areas are interspersed with picturesque valleys, the most stunning of which are those of the Blees, Clerve, Our, Sûre and Wiltz rivers.

Permanent public walking trails (IVV-FLMP)
Permanent public walking trails, set up by the IVV-FLMP organization, exist in Rombach-Martelange, the Natural Park of Haute Sûre, Vianden and Clervaux.
Nearly every weekend an IVV Public Walk takes place somewhere in the country, with distances ranging from 5 to 12 km.
