LAKE OF THE HAUTE-SÛRE
This giant water snake is about 1 km west of Esch-sur-Sûre, at the centre of the Haute-Sûre Nature Reserve.
Covering an area of 380 hectares, it provides the drinking water and electricity needs for a significant part of Luxembourg.
It is also a superb area for leisure. Outside the protected area, 2 km from the main dam, you can practice a variety of water sports such as swimming, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing.
Motor boats are banned.
